Dominique, originally from Maui, Hawaii, has nurtured her dream of working in the veterinary field since she was in Kindergarten. Growing up, her parents encouraged her passion for animals by allowing her to bring home a diverse array of animals, including ducks and geese.
Living in Hawaii, Dominique frequently encountered injured or sick baby chickens, as the island is home to a large population of wild chickens. She dedicated herself to rehabilitating these baby chickens, providing them with the care and attention they needed before releasing them back into the wild. This hands-on experience not only deepened her love for animals but also solidified her determination to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.
Currently, Dominique is attending Midwestern University’s College of Veterinary Medicine where she met Mike, our hospital administrator, at a career fair.
In her free time, she enjoys playing video games, with Minecraft being her favorite. She loves spending time with her pets, including her cat named Keely, conure named Badoo, and axolotl named Taco. She also enjoys activities such as rock climbing, volleyball, hiking, and watching anime and sci-fi shows.
