Olivia is originally from Alameda, California but moved to Mississippi at age five. She attended Mississippi State University for undergrad where she majored in Animal and Dairy Sciences and minored in International Studies in Agriculture. Olivia grew up with a golden retriever mixed breed dog named Pippi, two rabbits, and several fish. She currently does not have any pets of her own but enjoys visiting the family dog, a rescue named Ranger. Olivia completed a summer internship at the Institute for Marine Mammal Studies and worked at a safari park for 3 years which led to her interests in marine and zoo animal medicine. During her first semester of vet school at Mississippi State University, she enjoyed learning about veterinary ophthalmology. She is undecided what field of veterinary medicine she will pursue but is excited to learn about all opportunities during vet school. Outside of school, Olivia enjoys water sports, going for walks, traveling, playing pickle ball, and reading.
