Originally from Las Vegas, Nevada, Isaac grew up surrounded by a wide variety of animals, sparking a lifelong fascination with veterinary medicine. His family cared for everything from birds and rabbits to ferrets, dogs, and cats, giving him early exposure to many different species. Today, his family shares their home with three Chihuahuas, two cats, several companion birds, and even a jumping spider.
From a young age, Isaac knew he wanted to work with animals. While he originally dreamed of becoming a zookeeper, his interests evolved during high school when he realized veterinary medicine would allow him to make a meaningful impact on both animals and the people who care for them. He is passionate about strengthening the human-animal bond by improving the health and well-being of pets and the families who love them.
Isaac earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas before continuing his veterinary education at Western University of Health Sciences.
Isaac is currently a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine student at Western University of Health Sciences and anticipates graduating in 2028.
As a Las Vegas native, Isaac is excited to complete his externship in the city he has always called home. He chose V.O.S. because it provides the opportunity to gain valuable clinical experience while serving the community that helped shape his passion for veterinary medicine.
During this externship, Isaac is focused on strengthening his clinical skills through hands-on experience, particularly in catheter placement, blood collection, dental procedures, and suturing. He has a strong interest in laboratory animal medicine and exotic companion animal medicine while also exploring specialties such as internal medicine, surgery, neurology, and cardiology. Following graduation, he hopes to continue his education through an internship, pursue specialization, or begin practicing as a veterinarian.
Outside of the hospital, Isaac enjoys bowling, rock climbing, working out, playing video games, watching movies, learning guitar, and exploring new restaurants.
