Brittany is a dedicated veterinary professional whose passion for animal care began in her hometown of Miami, Florida. Brittany grew up with golden retrievers but managed to convince her parents over the years to let her care for hamsters, parakeets, hermit crabs, and even rehabilitated wildlife. She volunteered at her local shelter and participated in fostering and adoption events. Brittany’s childhood was a foundation of curiosity and compassion that naturally evolved into a career in veterinary medicine.
Her journey began at the Miami Zoological Wildlife Foundation, where she gained early hands-on experience with a wide range of species, including juvenile big cats, primates, reptiles, and birds of prey. During this time, Brittany also visited local elementary schools to educate students on wildlife safety and the importance of conservation efforts.
A graduate of the University of Georgia, Brittany earned her bachelor’s in Animal Science. Her commitment to veterinary medicine continued as she advanced into a veterinary assistant and later as a lead veterinary nurse. Her clinical expertise further expanded through shadowing opportunities with specialists in cardiology and orthopedic surgery. Currently, Brittany is a veterinary student at the University of Louisiana School of Veterinary Medicine. Brittany is pursuing her dream with a focus on small animal medicine and cardiology.
Outside the clinic, Brittany finds joy in spearfishing and deep-sea fishing with her dad. She also has a passion for travel and thrives on experiencing new cultures, cuisines, and ways of life. Whether she’s exploring coral reefs or navigating a new city, Brittany brings the same curiosity and enthusiasm that she applies to her work with animals.
Brittany’s passion for veterinary medicine is deeply personal, rooted in the memory of caring for her beloved childhood golden retriever during his final years. Guiding him through that vulnerable chapter sparked a profound sense of purpose—one that continues to drive her every day. That experience not only inspired her to dedicate her life to helping animals in any way she can, but also instilled in her a lasting commitment to delivering compassionate, high-quality care to both pets and the people who love them.
