Solitaire Goldfield, D.V.M.
Dr. Solitaire Goldfield grew up in Columbia, South Carolina, and has known she wanted to be a veterinarian for as long as she can remember.
“There’s a video of me at four years old telling my family that I was going to be a veterinarian and promising my aunt free veterinary care for life,” Dr. Goldfield says. “Unfortunately, my aunt lives in Kentucky, so I haven’t exactly been able to follow through on that promise—but she still likes to remind me about it.”
She earned her Bachelor’s degree from the College of Charleston before exploring several professional interests, including healthcare, business leadership, and public health. During that time, she managed a spa team of more than 50 employees and began pursuing a Master of Public Health degree. A chance encounter with a veterinarian ultimately reaffirmed her lifelong passion for animal care and set her on the path to veterinary medicine.
Dr. Goldfield went on to attend the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine, where she developed a strong interest in surgery, internal medicine, and diagnostic imaging. She is also passionate about preventive medicine, client education, and helping pet owners make informed decisions that support their pets’ long-term health and quality of life.
Known for her compassionate approach and commitment to patient care, Dr. Goldfield appreciates the variety and complexity of cases she encounters in practice. She enjoys collaborating with colleagues, building lasting relationships with clients, and partnering with families to provide individualized care for every patient.
“One of my favorite parts of veterinary medicine is that no two days are ever the same,” she says. “Every patient has a unique story, and I enjoy working with families to provide the best possible care for their pets.”
As a pet owner herself, Dr. Goldfield understands the special bond between people and their animals and strives to treat every patient as if they were her own.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Goldfield enjoys photography, reading, visiting national parks, international travel, and spending as much time outdoors as possible. She shares her home with three cats and two dogs.
Veterinarian
Carlos Baez, D.V.M.
Dr. Carlos Baez is a graduate of Ross University and is from Caguas, Puerto Rico. Dr. Baez grew up in Puerto Rico and slowly realized he wanted to work in veterinary medicine. He said that taking his family’s dogs to a local vet office was what first interested him in animal medicine.
“I began shadowing at that same clinic and I was there for a good three to four years before applying to vet school,” Dr. Baez said. He said he first worked as a kennel assistant, making sure that the animals were being taken care of before he started working as a veterinary assistant. Dr. Baez said that gaining experience at the animal clinic helped cement his desire to become a veterinarian.
Dr. Baez attended the University of Puerto Rico in Cayey where he majored in Natural Sciences. He continued working at the animal clinic during the weekends while in school. After graduating, Dr. Baez applied to several veterinary medical schools in the United States mainland but was not accepted. Dr. Baez applied to Ross University a year later and was accepted.
During his time at Ross University, Dr. Baez did all kinds of volunteer work. He volunteered for a conservation program in Guatemala that helped rehab and reintegrate animals into their natural habitat, as well as a mongoose research project in St. Kitts and Nevis, where Ross University is located. Dr. Baez also volunteered for a veterinarian in South Africa that tracked and moved animals and visited various dairy farms checking cows and other animals.
Dr. Baez said he’s most interested in surgery, dermatology, ophthalmology, cardiology, and internal medicine. He also said he’s really interested in treating heartworms and heartworm medication.
Dr. Baez enjoys watching Netflix, traveling across the country, and hiking.
Veterinarian
Tyler Rodriquez, D.V.M.
Dr. Tyler Rodriquez, a native of Casa Grande, Arizona, developed a love for animals at a very young age. His journey into the world of animal care commenced on his grandparents’ dairy farm, where he tended to calves and cows. At home, he was surrounded by two dogs and a cat, solidifying his passion for animal welfare and well-being.
The dream of becoming a veterinarian took root during his high school years when he enrolled in a hands-on technical program that offered students an opportunity to explore various career paths. Dr. Rodriquez chose to delve into the field of veterinary assisting. His experience working with animals, witnessing surgeries, and understanding the profound impact of helping animals deepened his commitment to pursuing a lifelong career as a veterinarian.
Subsequently, Dr. Rodriquez pursued his undergraduate education at the University of Arizona and later attended the University of Arizona College of Veterinary Medicine. During his third year of veterinary school, he participated in an externship program with our sister hospital, Lone Mountain Animal Hospital, where he gained valuable experience in working with exotic animals. He has now graduated and will join the veterinarian team at Aliante Animal Hospital.
Outside of his professional life, Dr. Rodriquez has a diverse range of interests and hobbies. He loves listening to music, particularly enjoying genres like EDM/Electronic, Alternative, and Pop. He likes painting, drawing, gardening, cooking, going to the gym and spending time with his Shepherd/Husky mix, Vision.
As he embarks on his journey in Las Vegas, Dr. Rodriquez looks forward to exploring the city and broadening his horizons by taking various classes to delve into new and exciting interests.
Veterinary Graduate Awaiting Licensure
Katerina Bugajski, MVDr.
Dr. Bugajski’s love for animals began at an early age. She grew up in Bruntál, a small town in the Czech Republic, where veterinary medicine was a way of life. Both of her parents were veterinarians, and her childhood home included a small hobby farm with rabbits, cows, sheep, pigs, chickens, and cats. Her father also raised and trained German Shepherds, so animals were always an important part of her life.
From caring for young lambs to helping stray kittens, Dr. Bugajski knew from childhood that she wanted to become a veterinarian. She earned her veterinary degree from the University of Veterinary Sciences Brno in the Czech Republic in 2015. She is currently completing the Educational Commission for Foreign Veterinary Graduates (ECFVG) certification program as she works toward full veterinary licensure in the United States.
Dr. Bugajski has a special interest in surgery and looks forward to continuing to strengthen her surgical skills and expand her knowledge throughout her career.
Outside of veterinary medicine, she enjoys reading, biking, and traveling with her family to explore new cities and countries.
Veterinary Graduate Awaiting Licensure
Shayan Imani, D.V.M.
Dr. Shayan Imani was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and raised in Orlando, Florida. Interestingly, he did not grow up with animals in his immediate family and had relatively little experience with them early in life. As he grew older and began interacting with animals outside of his home, he quickly discovered that the human-animal bond held a special place in his heart.
Around the age of 14, Dr. Imani began thinking about what career would bring him the most fulfillment. He wanted a career that combined his love of animals, his desire to build meaningful relationships with people in his community, and his passion for helping families in need. Becoming a veterinarian seemed like the natural answer, and his path was set.
After making this decision, Dr. Imani gained extensive hands-on experience working as a Veterinary Assistant and Technician at several veterinary hospitals throughout Central Florida. At the hospital where he spent the most time, he met his mentor, Dr. Bruce Bogoslavsky, under whom he worked for six years. During this time, Dr. Imani developed a deep appreciation for small animal and exotic medicine, caring for patients ranging from dogs and cats to birds, reptiles, rabbits, and turtles. He also credits this experience with shaping his approach to veterinary medicine today, watching his mentor build strong relationships and trust with clients by involving them in every step of their pet’s care.
Before veterinary school, Dr. Imani attended the University of Central Florida, where he earned two bachelor’s degrees in Biology and Business Management. He then attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts before completing his clinical training at Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine, earning his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in May 2026. His professional interests include clinical pathology, ophthalmology, and exotic medicine, and he looks forward to continuing to develop his surgical skills throughout his career.
Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Imani has had a lifelong passion for music, singing choral music and playing classic rock and jazz on guitar from a young age. While studying at the University of Central Florida, he developed an interest in DJing dance music and eventually began composing, producing, and engineering his own style of disco music under the alias “Solh”. His music has since been released by several record labels in North America and Europe, and has performed on large stages and music festivals, including EDC Las Vegas.
When he is not at the hospital or making music, Dr. Imani enjoys going to the gym in the early mornings, trying new food and drinks, playing soccer and golf, rock climbing, and spending time with his dog, Dahlia, and two cats, Mom and Sly.
Dr. Imani takes great pride in not only helping pets when they are sick, but also working with families to promote their health, nutrition, and quality of life when they are doing well. He looks forward to getting to know you and your special friend and helping them live a long, healthy, and happy life.
